RULES
You have to enter a card/papercraft project into the Challenge (Christmas/Winter), leave some love on ALL the blogs in the Hop + the Challenge Blog and place this badge on your post with your card/papercraft project so we can spread the word.  All the details are on the Creative Cowgirls Challenge Blog.

Here is my card (sorry it's a bit grotty but the light isn't very good).

I have used the cute image of Gillian, singing her heart out, which was provided by Roberta at Prairie Fairy.  Hop over and check out the other images there are plenty to suit every taste.
I have coloured her with purple and green Promarkers and used papers printed from a CC Cute Companions CD backed with silver mirror card.  The snowflakes were punched with my Martha Stewart punch and little green gems placed in the middle (you will have to use your imagination for this but it looks better in real life). The snow is Star Dust Stickles.

Wooo Hooo thank you to everyone who entered our first Creative Cowgirl Challenge.  If you pop over to Creative Cowgirls Challenge tomorrow you will find out who our first winner is.

This week we are having another ANYTHING GOES challenge.

Tellen's Place
and she is giving the winner a $10 coupon to spend in her great shop.
She is also giving the Top 3 1 image of their choice.

After all this I nearly forgot to post my card.  I used 12 x 12 Papermania card cut to a 6" square base with dotty paper from DCWV paperstack 6.  I coloured the image with Promarkers and shaded with distress inks.  Martha Stewart loop punch and Woodware flowers.
The thing I really like about Terry's image is the infectious smile.  I defy anyone to look at one of these images and not follow suit and smile.

Hop over to the Challenge and enter your fabulous creations.

Dezinaworld Everyone Wins Prize Give Away Challenge

I've finally made my card for Dezinaworlds Everyone Wins Challenge.  June is very kindly giving everyone who enters this challenge a prize.  You have to use one of June's images but she has loads of freebies in various styles.  I used this image for a wedding card.  My OH's cousin is getting married and I thought this would be perfect for them.  It used to have French writing at the bottom which said, Bonne Fete, which I think means Happy Birthday so I cut that off.  I have used various silver papers, which I got from 'Home Bargains' for 89p.  There is a holographic one which I used at matting and a mat silver with little glittery spots for the main mats.  I coloured the edge of the card with my silver Sakura pen.  I'm really pleased with how it turned out and I hope you like it too.  I will be adding a Wedding sentiment when I find one.  I've never made a wedding card for someone before.

I made a little scrapbook for my daughter using Tim Holtz big dies to cut the pages.  It is of her 9th Birthday at the local stables.  (Forgive the horrible photos the light has been atrocious)

I have enlarged some of the images I have used on the pages.  These images were beautiful to colour not too complicated but with plenty of detail.  I also used one of the images to make a small card using a Nestie for the base and mats.  The papers are from Creative Cottage.
I was also playing with photoshop and Word 2007 Publisher and made this card.  All the images are from Bombshell Stamps and the papers are from Bearly Mine

Now onto the thing we are all interested in.
"What can I win?"

Don't tell my OH about this!!!

Just a quick post I've been playing with Photoshop and my pictures. I'm too mean to pay for digital scrapbook layouts so I've been having a play.  These aren't exactly fantastic but I really enjoyed playing and am learning new things daily.  The title of the post is because if my OH knows I have posted this LO he wouldn't make me a cup of tea for days.

The photo was manipulated in Photoshop Pro by my daughter who was 10 at the time and I have made it into a transparent .GIF so I could put it onto a Creative Cottage background.  The lipstick and brooches were from a collage sheet I won at Dezinaworld I cut them out changed the colour and made them into .GIFs and added them as embellishments.  I was supposed to be entering it into Dezinaworld Spotprize Challenge 'Hot pink and silver' but got the dates wrong and missed it.

These are photos are of my daughter when she was in the panto 'Frankenstein the Panto' in January this year.  She played a school girl, a ghost and a bat.  The papers are from Creative Cottage.

My image is called FALL AFTERNOON.  It was a pleasure to colour and I really enjoyed colouring all the leaves in Autumn colours.  I used a cream base, coloured with Promarkers and Copics added bling with my gold Sakura Calligraphy pen, and gelly roll pen.  I then punched leaves out to form a border which I backed with shiny red paper and after all that effort you can't really see any of it on the photo.  The punched out leaves were coloured with gold pen and distressed ink and 3D randomly on the image.  I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers #126.

An Apology + Cowgirl Sunday Stamp'en Challenge - sketch by Alison and make your own DP

Firstly a big apology to everyone.  I have been unable to comment on peoples blogs due to personal reasons and I really miss visiting everyone.  At the moment I am only posting my DT work on Sundays.  Hopefully I will be able to get back to normal in a few weeks.

Now onto my DT work for the Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge.  This week we were asked to make our own designer paper.  I am hoping this passes as making my own because I can't make another.  The digi papers I have used are from Creative Cottage Designs and the tiled image is from CJ at Cowgirl Up Designs.  I used Paintshop Pro to colour the image and Word 2007 to manipulate it into a tile backing for my pictures.
I've blanked out the faces of the girls as I don't have permission from their parents to publish them.

I have used one of CJ's images and the backing papers are from Creative Cottage.  I have coloured the image with Copics and Promarkers and gone over the cobwebs with a Sakura gel pen.  I hand cut a cobweb and spider then used a white Inkssentials pen to draw in the eyes and smile (couldn't leave it without a smile).

Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge - Hip to be Not-Square (or a Rectangle)

This week over on Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge the challenge is to make any card as long as it's not a square or rectangle.
As you can see my card is a Teapot shape and the beautiful image is from CJ at Cowgirl Up Designs.  This is 1 of a series of Teacup Fairies.  Unfortunately, my mojo deserted me when I made this card and I know I haven't done this little lady justice.  I'm sat here now looking at her and I can see where I could have used some stickles and some glossy accents.  I cut the teapot on my Craft Robo using the little teapot on the image as my template.  The image was coloured with Copics and Promarkers.
I've gone back and added stickles, Anita's 3D gloss finish and liquid pearls and as usual I couldn't wait for them to dry so I ended up putting my hand in it (again). Here are 'before' and 'after' pictures. You may have to look closely but the after card is definitely more sparkly.

Cowgirl Sunday Stamp'en Challenge - Christmas Cards for Soldiers

Firstly an apology.  I have not been feeling too well lately and I haven't been able to get around to commenting on peoples blogs or posting on my own, so please accept my apologies and I hope normal commenting will resume as soon as possible.

I know this is a long post but please read it and join in this fun event, it is for a worthy cause.

This week over at Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge we are having a Christmas Cards for Soldiers event.  We are asking people to make Christmas cards (as many as you like) and  post them to this address
CJ HOLIFIELD
15649 SH 148
BOWIE,TX 76230
USA
The only rule is NO GLITTER or SPARKLIES if this comes off on the soldiers clothes or skin it can be detected.

CJ will then get all of your cards off to the person that will be distributing the cards to the soldiers at war to fill out, sign and send home to their Families and Friends.

The soldiers at war do not have access to simple things that many of us take for granted like Christmas and Holiday Card's.

This is a campaign so please make and send as many cards as you would like to the address above.  All of your cards will then be sent out to be distributed to the soldiers.
We will collect cards for about 2 weeks, so please get them out to CJ.

This is such an incredible way for the card crafting community to get involved and make the world a better place.

This week we are having a 1st place and 2nd place along with a TOP 6.

Celebrating this campaign with us this week we have two fabulous sponsors.
Whimsy Stamps and Whiff Of Joy Stamps.
Whimsy Stamps will be giving 5 images of choice
and
Whiff of Joy Stamps who will giving 2 stamps of choice
and

1 image of choice from CJ at Cowgirl Up Designs along with the Winner Badge to display on your blog with pride.

We are also having a TOP 6 this week with 1 image of choice from CJ at Cowgirl Up Designs

Here is my card for this Challenge
I have used a Meljen Design from Whimsy Stamps.  This is a lovely image to work with and could be used for many different card both male and female.  I coloured it with Copic Markers and Promarker.  The snowflakes were cut from a MS border punch and the sketch is from Inspirational Card Sketches #82.

We are looking to collect as many hand made cards as possible so spread the word and ask your friends!  Copy this badge and make a post on your blog inviting crafters.

Post the Badge on your side bar.  Leave a comment on the challenge blog that you have done this.  We will be hopping around to check and someone will win a special award!!

Monarch of the Glen

This is my card for the following challenges.

Bee Crafty #37 - Anything Goes
Sentimental Sundays #18 - Clean and Simple + sentiment
Crafty Emma's Store #1 - Anything Goes
Cupcake Crafts Challenge #106 - Let's get digital
Bunny Zoe Crafts #3 - Vintage

Sorry for the rubbish picture, I took it late in the evening.
I have used one of CJ's (Cowgirl Up Designs) images called Deer.  I chose this image and the Welcome Home Dad image because I wanted to challenge myself colouringly (made up word because I couldn't think of another word to use).  I hope that you think I've made a half decent job of colouring them in because I do. (Hope you don't mind me blowing my own trumpet but I am really proud of these cards).  I coloured the image with Copics and Promarkers and the papers were from a Crafts House, Plum Pudding 6 x 6 paper pad.  The sentiment was a stamp by Mary Hughes I got from QVC many years ago, it came in a box of 40 stamps and I've only used about 4 out of it.  (Mental note - I really must get the stamps out to use as they are really nice).  Just a couple of reminders follow for upcoming Cowgirl events.

The challenge over on Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge this coming Sunday is sponsored by MICHELLE PERKETT.  The winner will receive 3 images of their choice from Michelle Perkett + the Winner's Badge and the Top 3 will each receive 1 image of their choice from CJ at Cowgirl Up Designs and the Top 3 Badge.

Don't forget you still have time to enter the BLOG HOP and challenge (you don't have to make a card to enter the blog hop or vice versa)

I will be giving you the details of our Christmas Cards for Soldiers event tomorrow.

I have used one of Teri's fantastic doodles and scraps from Creative Cottage, K & Co and my stash.  The snowflakes are from my MS corner punch and have stickles in then middle.  I coloured the white spot in the blue paper read to match the present on top.

Got to go and link now as I only have a about half hour before the competition closes.

Cowgirl Sunday Stamp'en Challenge - BLOG HOP

Welcome to our blog hop if you came here from Peggy's blog - Tricky's Creations you are on the right track if not hop over to the Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge to start.  You will find full details of the hop there.

I don't have a letter on my blog but you will be
BLUE and EXCLAIMING
your woe if you don't find this symbol. Leave me a comment and let me know if you found it and you may be in with a chance of some candy.

I have 4 pots of tiny beads and 10 pins to give to 1 lucky blog hopper. You must complete the hop to be eligible for this prize.
From here you need to hop back to the Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge blog and leave a comment to say you have completed the hop.  Full hop details are on the challenge blog.

For the challenge this week our theme is HANDMADE FLOWERS you can add as many flowers as you like as long as you have made them yourself.  You could win all these fantastic flowery ribbons this weeks as our Sponsor is
+
3 images of your choice from CJ's store Cowgirl Up Designs
+
The Winners Badge to display with pride on your blog

There will also be 3 x TOP 3 cards and these will be awarded
2 images of their choice from CJ's store Cowgirl Up Designs
+
The TOP 3 badge to display on their blog.

Here is the project I made for my DT work.  I used paper from my stash and a gorgeous new release from CJ at Cowgirl Up Designs called Lilbit.  I made the flowers by cutting a spiral out of a circle of paper and winding it up from the outside to the inside let it relax and stick it to the piece of card you have left in the middle, which is now on the outside.  (I should have taken a picture of the bottom). I learnt how to make these at a scrapbooking class at Craft Den.  I dabbed stickles onto the roses and the sunflowers on the image.

Here is a close up of the rose
I have used thin organza ribbon (bought from C&C) and threaded it through the holes in the Nellie C die and added 2 bows.  The leaves are from a Woodware punch.

I had a list of challenges to enter this hanger into but my OH phoned on Friday afternoon and said we were going camping for the weekend so I won't be here to link up on Sunday. (I might see if I can find somewhere to plug my OH's netbook into on Sunday and see if I can get on line).  We are camping on an airfield with water from a stand tap (if we're lucky), toilets in a mobile (if you are near the camping site) otherwise it's the dreaded portaloos (won't EVER go in one of those again) and no electric so early nights all round, which is just as well as people get up at 6am and start playing with their model planes.  Forgot to say its show/competion weekend run by the British Model Flying Association where people show off their model planes and helicopters.  It's a weekend away from home and I don't really mind the hardship as the family is together.  Will let you know how we got on when I get back.

To all those who made it to here

ATC Swappers - August Swap

These are the ATCs I made for this months swap at ATC Swappers, which is SPORTING SUMMER.  If you want to enter the swap hop over to the blog and leave Paul a comment letting him know you want to swap some ATCs.  The ones I have received have been beautiful works of tiny art.  I am entering my August ATCs into

Just Inspirational Challenge Blog #8 - hobbies/entertainment/activities.

This week the sponsor is Lothian Crafts and the prize is a 'Flippin Bingo' stamp.  It is a lovely challenge and the DT do some beautiful work.  You really should hop over there and join in.  (I won challenge #7 and will hopefully be receiving my prize next week. It is the S.W.A.L.K 'little Princess' stamp.)
.
I hope JIC don't mind the cat it was an extra decoupage ATC for someone who missed the animal antics swap.  For the Sport ATCs I used the PNG images from Bugaboo Stamps and added them to a background paper from Creative Cottage.  I coloured them with Promarkers & Copics.

At first I made ATCs with a footballer and a rally car on them but realised it was Summer Sport and even though football seems to be an all year thing I didn't want to enter it for a Summer challenge and every time I see rally car racing it seems to be raining and muddy (typical British Summer I hear you say) but once again I didn't think of it as being a Summer sport so I went with Gymnastics, fishing, baseball and golf.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend, mine has already started as I am off work next week (doing a little dance now can you imagine it, it will give you nightmares if you can). HEEHEE.  Happy Crafting.  :-) xx
