Card for It's a Crafter's Companion Challenge.

The It's a Crafter's Companion challenge this week is orange and yellow. Here is my take on that theme. I haven't put a sentiment on it yet as I don't know what I will use it for.

I have used a burnt orange card, with a yellow mat and an orange background cut on my Craft Robo. The image is from the Flower Fairies CD - Buttercup.

Padme's first easel card

Here is the card that my daughter made. It is her first attempt at an easel card and I for one think she has done fantastically well.

She used a 6 x 6 card, with a silver mat and a butterfly background from the crafter's companion Flower Fairies CD. The image was a free digi stamp but I can't remember where I got it from. Padme has used Copic markers which I purchased from Craft Den.

Christmas card 2009

This is the Christmas card I made for family and close friends. I used a Crafter's Companion back ground from the Cute Companions CD mounted on silver card attached to a red base card. The mouse is a Cute Companion mouse stamp, coloured with water colours. The mouse is attached to a silver snowball which moves in a slider slot. I then covered all the snow with Ice crystal stickles. I made the card into an easel card.

Another card, another birthday

Here are 2 pictures of a card I made for a friend. The pictures are not very good, my camera takes lovely pictures when things are about 10-15 feet away but try to get close not so good. I have tried the macro but it always seems grainy. I am putting a new camera on my birthday list but will have to wait until November unless I'm lucky and get one for our anniversary/valentines day in February.

I will be entering the It's a Crafter's Companion challenge the theme is orange and yellow. You have to have your entry in by Sunday so as usual it will be a last minute rush on Saturday night.

Wooo whooo managed a card

This is a card I have made with my daughter for her friends birthday. I have used a fairy off the Crafter's Companion Flower Fairies CD. It is an easel card but as we were having problems photoing the card you can only see the outside.

Cards from the Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog

For my second posting I will show you some of the cards I made for the Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog. The blog was closed over Christmas but should be up and running again soon.

This card was for the 1st challenge, but I missed the closing date.

These 2 are my favourite layouts and I have used these on several occasions since the challenge.

This is the card I sent to my cousin in Australia. It was the last challenge I entered before Christmas.

Hope you enjoyed these cards and hope you will hop along and join in when the challenges are up and running again.

My first foray into blogging

This is my first attempt at a blog. I enjoy reading other peoples blogs and enjoy looking at the challenges other people enter.

I enjoy crafts of all descriptions but tend to make cards, scrap-book pages and models from Fimo. I also enjoy baking and as I don't have many photo of the cards etc I have made I am going to show you a couple of cakes I have made over the years for my children.

This is a joint effort with my Star Wars obsessed son. This is a Darth Maul cake we made together I made the cake face and put the icing on and Rancorman (alias my son) did the face painting.

This little beauty was one I made for Padme's (alias my daughter) 5th birthday.

I made 4 of these as Christmas presents because in late 2003 and early 2004 four of my friends were either moving or having major work done on their house. It took me ages but I enjoyed every minute as I knew they would be chuffed to receive them.

I am going now to take some pictures of my scrap-book pages.

Hope everyone had a good New Year's Day and has a Happy 2010.
