Cupcake Crafts Challenge #88 - same image different challenge

Debbie of Passion for Crafts has let me know there is a challenge at Cupcake Crafts Challenge which is 'anything but square'. Hopefully I will be allowed to enter this card into their challenge.

I have a day to myself tomorrow so I may get some crafting in before **edited to say** 9 pm (not am) thanks Gina. :-)

Digital Tuesday Challenge #55 - NOT

This was my entry for Digital Tuesday Challenge #55 until I realised I'd looked at the wrong date and this challenge was for last week. I've linked it and everything and then realised it's Thursday and a new challenge has been blogged. Next time I will check the date before I spend all my time making a card. Anywhoo this is how I made the card.

The raindrop card and mats were cut on my Craft Robo and I coloured an image from Stamp'en with CJ with my copic markers.

Going to bed now as I've not slept for the last week while we waited to find out if my OH was going to be made redundant. Luckily he wasn't so big relief for us.

Fab's Big Christmas Card Challenge #16

This is my entry for Fab's Big Christmas Card Challenge #16. I have used a gold base card and a hammered finished red card which I embossed with a Sizzix Texturz Plate#10, and used snowflakes and lettering which I cut on my Craft Robo months ago to use on a layout I never got round to.

It must be good my son just walked passed and said, "That's a good card Mum". I'm not blowing my own trumpet but for once I really like this card.

I hope everyone had a good weekend.

It's a Crafter's Companion Challenge #8

This is my 3D project for the IACCCB #8. The theme is 3D and this challenge is being sponsored by Lothian Crafts.

I have used a project from the Crafter's Companion CD 'The World of Beatrix Potter'. It is easy to make but the card I used has a sheen on it and my DST doesn't like to stick to it so I may have to open it up and use wet glue. I took the photos now just in case I ripped it in the process of fixing it.

I am trying to enter more challenges and use up some of my stash but I am still not confident with choosing colours. I never really think the paper or colours I choose go together but my confidence is increasing because of the lovely comments I get on my blog. So thank you to everyone for taking the time out of your busy lives to make a fellow human being feel good about something she has done.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend whatever the weather and where ever you are.

One card 2 Challenges

I am entering this card into 2 challenges this week.

The Penny Black Challenge #97 Monochromatic Brown and the Moving Along With The Times #43 a sketch + animals.

It is the first time I have entered these challenges so I hope I have got the details correct. I coloured the Penny Black stamp (Minding Shelty) in inks. I used Frayed Burlap for the Shelty & Hedgehog and Anna Griffin Chocolate for the saddle and rug and mane highlights. I hope it will be allowed that I used a yellow copic for the stirrup.

Rainy days

This is my entry for DZ Doodles Challenge #5. The theme is to use 'a sketch from another challenge.

I have used an old sketch from IACCB (sketch #8 2009). The backing papers are from CC's Mrs Tiggywinkle CD and the image is a DZ doodle freebie coloured with copic markers. The sentiment is from Craftwork cards and the gems are from my stash.

Another boring title...

You can tell I never liked English at school. I was great at speaking and having discussions but I could never put things in writing. I really wish I could think of some witty titles for my postings.

Anyhooo here is my entry for A Gem of a Challenge #3. I have used the freebie image supplied on the site and the sketch from Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges (I can't enter it in this challenge as I missed it by a day). Hope everyone had a good weekend.

The recipe for this card is gingham paper from CC's Mrs Tiggywinkle CD, blue paper from 12" x 12" Papermania textured coloured card pack. I cut the ovals on my Craft Robo. I went round the edge of the blue card with blue Stickles. The flower were from Ikea, found them on sale for a few pennies for about 50 flowers. Got 2 packs and now wish I'd got more.

**just realised this weeks challenge on Daisy Doodles is Pink + 1 other colour so this card can be used.** 1

1 card 2 challenges never manged that before.

IACCB challenge #7

This is my entry for IACCB challenge #7. The theme is Easter. I know it's past but you can use a card you've already made. I used my Craft Robo to cut the egg shapes. (I love my Craft Robo, I enjoy playing with the software and learn something new everytime I use it.) I cut 3 shapes and made them into an easel card I then cut a smaller oval in blue and used a decoupage sheet from the Peter Rabbit CD (once again I shaped the base layer using my Craft Robo) and decoupaged the picture. I pinched the egg he is carrying from an Easter card my daughter made. (Don't tell her!! I put it straight back after I took the photo).

It's fimo for the kids today and I will post some picture of the models they make tomorrow. I may also post some of mine from last Saturday. Hope everyone has a good day and the weather stays fine.

Just cute bears challenge #11

This card is made for the Just Cute Bears Challenge #11.
I have used a stamp I have had for years and coloured it with Copics. I used a Nellie C die to cut the mat and a page from a 6"x6" K & Co pad called Roam to cover my base card. I coloured flowers from my stash with Copics.

cute little polka dots and stamps for sale

This card is for the IACCC #6. They have asked us to use a gatefold card and have shown a red polka dot picture as inspiration. This is my entry for the challenge. I made a red base card using card from the DCWV Christmas cardstack with green matting from a K & Co 6"x6" pad Classic K and polka dot paper from Jak Heath Designs. The image is from the Peter Rabbit CD from Crafter's Companion. I have used a little polar white flowersoft on the card so it can be used as another Christmas card.

I am getting quite addicted to making Christmas cards and I now need to make envelopes for them. As I make my own cards I don't have envelopes to fit. Thank goodness for my Enveloper and box maker.

***Just a heads up that Sarah at Stressed Stamper has some Penny Black stamps for sale, hop over and have a look.***

Another Christmas card

This is my entry for Fab's Big Christmas Card Challenge the theme this week is tone on tone. This card took me a long time to do as I couldn't think of any thing I could do that was tone on tone. I eventually used some Christmas stamps I've had for 2 years and never used. I used a versamark pad to ink the image and then chalked the white card with green. I then stamped the stars and embossed with gold embossing powder. This was matted onto some dark green paper with holly leaves on it and I made a green base card. The sentiment is from the Crafter's Companion Cute companions Christmas set.

I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend and the rain is not putting a damper on things.
