Creative Cowgirls Challenge #6 - Valentine Day Cards

This week over on the Creative Cowgirls Challenge we have the theme of Valentine Day Cards.

The Posse were lucky enough to receive an image from our sponsor Roberta at Prairie Fairy Designs.  My image was Roopid and I really enjoyed making this card I got to colour the image, cut out the circles on my Craftrobo and punch out the hearts and stickle the edges of everything.  The sentiment is mine.  All the card was from stash, dewdrops and stickles were purchased from Craft Den, small heart punches were purchased form Ideal World many years ago and the bigger hearts were embossed form my CC Ultimate board.
The sponsor this week is Prairie Fairy Designs

You have to enter a card/papercraft project into the Challenge (Christmas/Winter), leave some love on ALL the blogs in the Hop + the Challenge Blog and place this badge on your post with your card/papercraft project so we can spread the word.  All the details are on the Creative Cowgirls Challenge Blog.

Here is my card (sorry it's a bit grotty but the light isn't very good).

I have used the cute image of Gillian, singing her heart out, which was provided by Roberta at Prairie Fairy.  Hop over and check out the other images there are plenty to suit every taste.
I have coloured her with purple and green Promarkers and used papers printed from a CC Cute Companions CD backed with silver mirror card.  The snowflakes were punched with my Martha Stewart punch and little green gems placed in the middle (you will have to use your imagination for this but it looks better in real life). The snow is Star Dust Stickles.

IACCCB #11

For the last It's a Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog (the challenge blog is hopefully being revamped and should rise like a phoenix from the ashes), we were asked to recycle magazines/newspapers, use 3 buttons and glitter.  Here is my entry.  The picture looks a little washed out because the light wasn't too good.
I based the flower on a Youtube video.  It was cut from newspaper and the edges were coloured with distressed inks.  The buttons have a piece of paper ribbon (the type you use on presents to make the curly ribbons), and the sentiment is stamped using 'peeled paint' distressed ink.  The paper used if from a 6 x 6 K & Co paper pad Classic K.  I have used stickles to highlight around the flower and on the flower itself. As the flower is so deep I will have to make a box to put it in.
