Hope everyone enjoyed the blog hop last week, the winner has been announced over on the Cowgirl Sunday Stamp'en Challenge blog, hop over and see if it is you.

This week we would like to see your cards over the top with BLING BLING and we have NEW RELEASES from CJ at Cowgirl Up Designs, all the new images have a fall theme.  There will be a discount on the new releases for more details hop over to the challenge.

My image is called FALL AFTERNOON.  It was a pleasure to colour and I really enjoyed colouring all the leaves in Autumn colours.  I used a cream base, coloured with Promarkers and Copics added bling with my gold Sakura Calligraphy pen, and gelly roll pen.  I then punched leaves out to form a border which I backed with shiny red paper and after all that effort you can't really see any of it on the photo.  The punched out leaves were coloured with gold pen and distressed ink and 3D randomly on the image.  I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers #126.

An Apology + Cowgirl Sunday Stamp'en Challenge - sketch by Alison and make your own DP

Firstly a big apology to everyone.  I have been unable to comment on peoples blogs due to personal reasons and I really miss visiting everyone.  At the moment I am only posting my DT work on Sundays.  Hopefully I will be able to get back to normal in a few weeks.

Now onto my DT work for the Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge.  This week we were asked to make our own designer paper.  I am hoping this passes as making my own because I can't make another.  The digi papers I have used are from Creative Cottage Designs and the tiled image is from CJ at Cowgirl Up Designs.  I used Paintshop Pro to colour the image and Word 2007 to manipulate it into a tile backing for my pictures.
I've blanked out the faces of the girls as I don't have permission from their parents to publish them.

Cowgirl Sunday Stamp'en Challenge - Girly Girl with pearls + pink, green or purple

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.  Hopefully when this goes out I will be doing some Geocaching, it is their 10th year so on 10/10/10 they want as many people as possible to log a cache to see if they can beat their record of 56,654 people logging a cache in 1 day.

Anyhoo, onto this weeks challenge at Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge, the theme is Girly Girl with pink, green or purple (or all the colours as I have).  I have aimed my card at a very young Girly Girl, hence the use of the pastel colours.  I have tried to go for a quilted, folksy look but the stitching leaves a lot to be desired.

The image is a gorgeous butterfly from Cowgirl Up Designs. For the background I cut squares and painted them with some cheap (£2.99) shimmer paints from The Works, I've had them years and they are still going strong.  I then cut the squares diagonally and stuck them onto the square card. The stitching was done with an Inkessential white pen, it was dark and the pen didn't show up straight away so the stitching is atrocious.  The pearls were made with a Viva pearl pen.  The sentiment was made on the computer and put on sticky pads to raise it up.
See what I mean about the shimmer

This is after I added the sentiment and it was dark and no flash

Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge - Anything Goes - Halloween Release

This week at Cowgirl Up Designs CJ has a new releases for Halloween.  There will be a 20% sale on the new releases for this week so hop over and grab yourself some truly wonderful, spooky images.

If you hop over to the challenge blog you will see what the Posses have done with the new releases.  Unfortunately there was a problem getting my image to me so I have used another of CJ images and hopefully coloured it to pass as Halloween.

I have used one of CJ's images and the backing papers are from Creative Cottage.  I have coloured the image with Copics and Promarkers and gone over the cobwebs with a Sakura gel pen.  I hand cut a cobweb and spider then used a white Inkssentials pen to draw in the eyes and smile (couldn't leave it without a smile).
