Crafting When We Can Challenges 69 - die cut/silhouette/craft robo shapes

For Challenge 69 over at Crafting When We Can Challenges we have a new sponsor, Nicole from

The Winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to the store

Hop over to the Challenge and see the wonderful inspiration from our marvellous DT.

For my card I used one of my favourite craft items, my Craft Robo.  I don't use this equipment enough but I love designing things on the computer to use when I can have it set up again.  It's such a pain to have to keep packing it away.  My OH claimed the space I had for his stuff.  I'm thinking it's time I claimed it back.

I cut out a frame design I designed a while ago.  I had trouble with it because my blade is old and didn't quite go through the card but it was easy enough to just cut the bits that didn't release.  I used card from my stash for the base card and papers from DCWV stack 6 for my designer papers, I embossed the stripey paper and used a ribbon from a chocolate box to cover the join the papers.  I then printed out my image Work Out Cat onto coated card and coloured with my spectrum noir pens and cut an oval with my robo.  I used stickles to add the glittery dots and my cropodile to add the eyelets to the top corner.  The background for the image was made with spectrum noir pens and distressed inks.

Crafting When I Can Challenges 68 - Sketch

For the challenge over at Crafting When We Can Challenges we have a sketch by Ang and our wonderful sponsor is

The theme is a Sketch by Ang.

We were allowed to choose our image for this challenge and I chose Jolene.  I coloured her with my Spectrum Noir pens and used some ribbon I've had for about a year.  The papers were from a Trimcraft 6" pad, I embossed stars into the background paper.  All the edges of the paper and image mat were distressed with Vintage Photo DI.  I'm really pleased with her hair this time, I love the colours but forgot to write them down and now can't remember what they were.  I know there were 3 colours from the TN range.  The ribbon was from Craft Den Studios and the sentiment was from a K & Co pad.

For A Child
Sherry offered us a Pirate Adventure image to use and below is my project.  Once again I used some papers from a DCWV stack 6 and plain card I bought from Lidl.  This card is serious thick but wonderful to use as a base card.  I coloured my image with Spectrum Noir pens and the Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Creative Stamping magazine.

Now it's your turn to show us what you can do.  Hop over to the Challenge blog and leave your For a Child project.

Crafting When We Can Challenges 65 - Hearts and Flowers

Over at CWWCC the we have the delightful ArtbyMiran as our Sponsor

We were kindly given a choice of image and I chose Princess Color Page.  I really enjoyed working with this image, it gave me chance to practice hair colouring.  I used my Spectum Noir pens and a DCWV paper pad for the heart backing paper.  Gold card was used to compliment her hair and provide the hearts.  I didn't have the right colour card to use as a border so I coloured some white card with the same colour pen I used to highlight the details at the bottom of the dress.  A Martha Steward punch was used for the border edge.

Hop over to the Challenge and leave us your Hearts and Flowers creations.

Very late Crafting When We Can Challenges #64 - Anniversary

I'm so late in my posting (near 2 weeks), so I'll make it quick.

Our wonderful Sponsor is
Sassy Studio Designs
The theme is
Anniversary
You have until 5pm BST to enter over at CWWCC.

I used a WRMK mini 8 scallop punch to punch some pearlised card.  I then scored a diamond trellis onto the card and put little pearls on the intersections.  I used my spectrum noir to colour the SSD image called Curvy Babydoll Sassy, fussy cut the image and stuck it to the front of the card.  I then used 1" wide satin ribbon to make a hanger.  Not a card but I think the meaning will be clear if it turns up on the door handle.

Please hop over to the CWWCC, and leave us your Anniversary projects.

Crafting When We Can Challenges 63 - Lots of Bling

We had lots of scrummy projects in our last Challenge.  It really made your mouth water with all the wonderful food related projects.

This Challenge is all about the Bling.  The more bling the better.  We have a new wonderful Sponsor

We were allowed to choose the image we wanted to use and I chose
Brittany 1920's Flapper.  I coloured her with spectrum noirs and a glitter gelly roll pen was used to highlight her headdress and shoes (this doesn't show on the photo).  The base card is a magenta satin mirror card and a striped holographic silver card was used for the stripe and mat.  The bling in the corners was from Home Bargains and the sentiment (With Love) is from Craftwork Cards.

To join in with our Lots of Bling challenge, hop over to the Challenge blog and enter your blinged up projects and we will be around to see your projects.

Crafting When We Can Challenges 62 - Food

For Challenge 62 we have a theme of
Food

and our wonderful Sponsor is

For my image I used one I already had as I wanted to use my CraftArtist software to try something new but when I hopped over to The Stamping Chef shop I couldn't find it and site seems to have had a makeover, so I hope I have used the correct The Stamping Chef link.

I used Kiss the Cook image and I used my CraftArtist software to block and fill the png outline with colours and textures.  I then used Afternoon Tea digikit to make my backgroud.  I printed and cut out my Cook image and 3D it on to the front of the card.  Just need to make up a foody sentiment.  For the inside I used a Purple Ronnie verse. (the background seems to have printed out quite dark and wonky which I didn't notice when I photographed it).

Hop over to the Challenge and show us your Food related projects.

Challenge 61 - Recipe - 1 image, 2 ribbons/twine, 3 main colours

How quick time flies, it only seem like days when I was making my last post for Crafting When We Can Challenges.  This Challenge is sponsored by the wonderful

I used the image Bubble Gum Sassy.  I printed out the image larger than I needed, my colouring in skills are rubbish on small images but I'm practising with my Spectrum Noir pens.  I then scanned the coloured image backing to my CraftArtist and used one of the built in templates.  I then used the digikit Paradise to fill in the background and create the panels for my image to sit on.  I then cut out and glued the template together to create a little gift bag which I finished with 2 ribbon handles.  I also put a glass look bubble via the CA program over her bubble gum.

Crafting When I Can Challenges 60 - Outside

Happy New Year to All

For the first Challenge of 2014 we have a theme of

Outside

and our wonderful Sponsor is Heather Valentin from

We were able to choose our own stamps for this challenge and I chose
Maggie Springtime Flowers from the retiring section.  I used my new Spectrum Noir pens.  I had been collecting the sets over the months and then treated myself to the sets I needed to complete the full set for Christmas and my MIL gave me some money towards the pen racks too so I now have a lovely, colourful set of pens to look at and hopefully use ;-).

I used an 8 x 8 card because I printed my image larger than I wanted but instead of worrying about it I went with the flow and used a bigger card base.  The green card I used for the base is from a Papermania pack, the mats are from DCWV Stack 6, the ribbon I bought about a year ago and never used until now.  All edges have been distressed with DI, Old Paper.  I've been trying to get more shading because I have all the SN pens and I like the dress but still can't get the hair but I think this image is a wonderful one which to practice shading on.
