Sometimes I feel like the White Rabbit.......I'm late, I'm late

Here are my ATC swaps for the ATC Swappers.  They should have been there by now but I lost 1 and had to remake it.  It must be in the same place as my Nesties, hairband and camera lead.

Does anyone remember the film "Gaslight" (a black and white film that I remember from numerous showings on a Saturday afternoon when I was young).  The idea behind the film was the young wife's husband wanted her to be declared insane so he could have her money. (If she died it went to the sister or something).  He kept moving her things around and turning down the 'gaslight' in the rooms she was in.  Any hoo I'm not saying my OH is trying to send me insane but he denies ever seeing any of these things and doesn't know what I'm talking about.  If the lights start to go dim in our house I'll let you know.

The dragon and rocket images are from Dustin Pike, the Fairy in a balloon is Pollycraft Designs and the baby bear is by Anne Bodil.  The blue/grey background are in MS Draw and the pink background is from Bearly Mine. Some bits are glazed and some glittered.  The bling is from stash. All edged with a silver Sakura calligraphy pen.

I am entering these into the Lothian Crafts January Challenge - Anything Goes.

Creative Cowgirls Challenge #6 - Valentine Day Cards

This week over on the Creative Cowgirls Challenge we have the theme of Valentine Day Cards.

The Posse were lucky enough to receive an image from our sponsor Roberta at Prairie Fairy Designs.  My image was Roopid and I really enjoyed making this card I got to colour the image, cut out the circles on my Craftrobo and punch out the hearts and stickle the edges of everything.  The sentiment is mine.  All the card was from stash, dewdrops and stickles were purchased from Craft Den, small heart punches were purchased form Ideal World many years ago and the bigger hearts were embossed form my CC Ultimate board.

Old scrapbook page

As I am trying to get back to making  more posts I have pulled out an old scrapbook page I made at one of Lynne's classes at Craft Den.  All the papers etc were from Craft Den and the picture was added afterwards.  I am entering it into the Anything Goes Challenge Brads & Eyelets, the eyelets are where the ribbon is crossed and the centres of the flowers are velvety brads.  ( I really just wanted to show of my cute little daughter in one of my favourite outfits).  We were at the Wrinkled Stocking Cafe in Holmfirth when this picture was taken.  They do delicious cream teas.

Quick post today.  Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Dezinaworld Spot Prize + Create4fun #77

Just a quick post this time.

I am entering the Dezinaworld Spot Prize.  The theme this week is Under The Ocean and I knew exactly what photo I wanted to use.  As I seem to have lost my mojo for making cards I have been doing some digital scrapbooking (all my nesties etc. have gone missing since Christmas, I think OH must have packed them away when we moved everything around to make way for the tree and I haven't found them yet).

All the backing mats are photos I have taken, I have played around with them in several programs as I know how to do some things in one program and other things in a different one.  I have used Paintshop to make the greyscale background and colour photo.  I made the mats greyscale to even out the colours of the different pebbles and sea which were all from different beaches.  MS Publisher to layer everthing up and MCS software to cut out the round shape.

Creative Cowgirls Challenge #5 - Turqoise and black or brown

What a fantastic response we had to our last challenge, over 100 fantastic projects entered and I would like to say a big Thank You to each and every one of the talented people who entered them.

This week our sponsor is Tellen's Place.  Terry has such cheery images in her shop and they are a delight to work with but I know she also has some images she calls 'Dark digital images' which have a more macabre feel to them.

When I received my image for this challenge I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.  I have digitally coloured it and added it to a scrapbook page.  I hope Terry won't mind I did have to add a line to the grass so I could colour it in digitally.  The photos are of my daughter and son walking in a wood called Padley Gorge (you would never have guessed by the title on the page).  It was a great day and the image reminded me of my daughter hence the colouring of the image which is not turquoise & black or brown but I did chose to use these colours as my background.
I have used MS Publisher to design my LO and the background paper is from Tinker & Co.  The image is from Tellen's Place and make a striking addition and lift the page I think.

Creative Cowgirls Challenge #4 - Something New

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL
I hope everyone had a fantastic New Year.

This fortnight over at Creative Cowgirls Challenge we are having a Something New Challenge.  Unfortunately this year I didn't get anything new for Christmas (what!! I hear you cry, When this was mentioned to OH he said "I didn't know you wanted craft stuff".  New Year Resolution - consider changing OH for newer model).

For the Something New Challenge I have used stash that I have never used before (what's that you say, stash you bought and never used!!!) I know I admit it I was a naughty girl but I have used them now so I think I need to go and buy some new stash in case another challenge like this turns up (don't you agree?).

The sponsor for this challenge is Pollycraft who have kindly donated a voucher for the winner.
The talented Paula over at Pollycraft has a variety of designs covering any occasion you could ever need.  There are fairies, bears and Maurice (who you can see on my card below) plus too many more to name here.  Most of her images can be bought separately or on special offer for the set.

The Winner will receive from Pollycraft the following voucher
+
the Winners Badge to display with pride

the TOP 3 will each receive the
TOP 3 Badge to display with pride

My card is using Maurice - ready for business he was such a joy to colour I have done 3 in different colours.  My daughter chose this colour way to go with the DCWV papers I have used.  The papers are from the DCWV 12 x 12 stack 6 and I have used a beige card from a Papermania card pack for the base card and mats.  The edges have been distressed with scissors and swiped with Frayed Burlap distress ink.  Maurice was coloured with Promarkers and his glasses glazed with Anita's 3D clear gloss finish.  The "Best Wishes" was stamped using stamps from Personal Impressions and the ring border from Scrappy Cat.

Hop over to the Challenge now and join in you have until 15th January to enter.
