Creative Cowgirls Challenge #14 - Getting Jiggy

Just a quick Challenge post this time.  The Creative Cowgirls Challenge is 'Getting Jiggy' it's all about the dance.  Our wonderful sponsor, Tellen's Place Designs gave us some images to use and I got the fantastic Skull boy n girl.  I coloured the great image using Copics and Promarkers, the backing papers were from Creative Cottage, Little Monkey's Pirate Adventure and the Skull was a clipart from MS Publisher which was cut out and layered.  I edged all the mats with peel offs coloured with black Promarker.

Creative Cowgirls Challenge #13 - Anything Goes

All back to normal now after the double long weekend, kids back at school and work back to normal.  Then another long weekend to disrupt the flow in about 3 weeks, I only hope this good weather continues.

The challenge this week over at the Creative Cowgirls Challenge is Anything Goes, so I hope all you who visit take a little time and hop over to enter.

This challenge we were given images from the talented Michelle Perkett, mine is called 'Birthday Packages with Hearts' and can be found on her Etsy site by clicking on the link.
I have made my background by colouring with DIs and stamping with a CC stamp from a Cute Companion Christmas set.  You can't see it on this photo but I have layer the image, there are 3 layers on the yellow, 2 on the blue and 1 on the green I then wrapped the parcels in ribbon and made a 4 layer bow to put on the top (it looks more effective in real life).  The image was coloured with Promarkers and Copics. The sentiment is part of the image but I printed it separately and the 3 parcels are cut from the top of the pile.  This is the second card I have made with this image as I lost the topper I orignally made.  If I find it I may make another card to post later.

Creative Cowgirls Challenge #12 - Mum/Mom's Day/Spring

As our Challenge is based in America and it's Mother's Day over there our theme this fortnight is Mother's Day/Spring.  We were given some very beautiful images from Prairie Fairy to use.  I received In a Nutshell to use and I loved this image so much I coloured in 4 of the images so I can use them at a later date.  As a bonus we will also be sponsored by Crafty Ribbons

We are also having a Guest Designer this challenge.  Hop over to the Challenge blog to see Bridget's gorgeous work.

For my card I used Prairie Fairy 'In a Nut Shell' with backing papers from a CC flower fairy CD and flowers from stash, all edges highlighted by a Sakura Silver Calligraphy pen.  I had a nightmare with this card as I couldn't find my double sided tape or tape pen so had to use a glue pen which wouldn't stick.  I about to get out the flour and water when I found some wide double sided tape.  I eased the layers off, of which there are plenty, and stuck them down again with the tape.  I also realised I had printed my image slightly too big for my mats and I wasn't feeling too great I couldn't be bothered to print it again. By this time the light was fading, hence the rubbish picture.

Creative Cowgirls Challenge #11 - Rainy Days or Spring

We had a fantastic response to our Easter Blog Hop and the winner will be announced tomorrow on the Creative Cowgirls Challenge blog.

This week we had the pleasure of working with images from Digi's with Attitude.  I had KitKat.  It was enjoyable to colour in with my Copics and Promarkers.  You will notice that the colours don't exactly match, this was intentional, the cats we have in our area are and eclectic mix of colours so this is how I coloured my KitKat (honest).
I really wanted to add a sentiment but I couldn't think of anything funny, if you have any suggested they will be welcome.  The gingham papers are printed from a CC Beatrix Potter CD and the peel offs were from my stash, I thought I had used spun sugar around my mat but it seems it was antique linen (that will teach me to craft under an energy saving light at night) luckily it works with the yellow.  On to the important stuff now.

Creative Cowgirls Challenge #10 - Easter/Spring + Blog Hop

Sorry I haven't been around this last couple of weeks, as usual life got in the way but I'm hoping to get around to everyone next week.
This fortnight over at the Creative Cowgirls Challenge we are having a blog hop.  If you hop over to the Challenge you will find all the details and the members of the Posse who are in this  hop.  At Creative Cowgirls we try to keep the hop short as we know everyone is busy with day to day life, for this reason we keep them to approx 8 blogs, where you only need to leave a little love and then back to the Challenge to enter your Easter/Spring card.

Here is the card I made from the cute images provided by Chi Chi Memories, the set is called Happy Easter.  My daughter coloured in the flowers and bunnies and I coloured in the egg to match.  It doesn't show up very well but I have layered the egg, Happy Easter and flowers using Pin flair gel.  All the papers are scraps from my stash.

We are being sponsored by 2 fantastic Sponsors this Challenge/Hop.  They are

Creative Cowgirls Challenge #8 - Hawaii/The Beach

Aloha everyone, this week were are off to Hawaii or the beach which ever you prefer.  We received some wonderful images to use for the challenge from our sponsor, Michelle Perkett.  My image is called Leilani and I have put here in a beautiful beach scene.  All the elements on this card were designed and cut using my CraftRobo and its software.  I think it looks good even if I say so myself.  The background was chalked and looks really great IRL.  (still haven't found my camera lead so the pictures are rubbish).  All elements cut from paper from the scrap box and Leilani was coloured using Promarkers and Copics.
Now onto the important stuff here is the sponsor information and the prizes.
The Winner will receive
3 gorgeous images of their choice from Michelle Perkett Studio

Winners Badge to display with pride

Creative Cowgirls Challenge #7 - Hearts on cards + Blog Hop

Sticky post please scroll down for latest posting

VALENTINE BLOG HOP

For the next 2 weeks we will be having a Blog Hop over at the Creative Cowgirls Challenge.  All you have to do is make a card with hearts (easy peasy) post it on the challenge blog and leave some love on the 8 blogs you will visit on the hop.

If you are doing the hop you should have arrived at my little place from Monika's blog (Kleblatt's Bastelseiten).  If you want to join in the Hop go to the Challenge Blog and start your wonderful journey.

We were lucky enough to receive some great images from DZ Doodles to work with.  I was doubly lucky as the image I got, "bowl of lillies", was one of my Mum's favourite flowers.  As one of the other Posse members used orange for their image I went on the internet and found a picture of a beautiful purple/red lily so I used this as my inspiration.  The card is from my stash, the image was coloured with Copics and highlighted with Sakura clear Stardust pen (you can't really see it on this picture).  I glazed the vase with Anitas 3D clear finish gloss.  Heart punched with a punch from Ideal World (before Create and Craft started).

There are 2 sponsors for this challenge/hop.

The winner will receive a bunch of Valentine ribbons from Crafty Ribbons

3 images of their choice from DZ DOODLES

An Award

I have been awarded this by two very talented ladies and I accept it with pride.

Angela at Pages by the Sea - Angela has an eclectic mix of crafty stuff on her blog from sewing outfits for her daughter to making beautiful ATCs and all bits inbetween.

Steph at The Crafty Duck's Crafty Doings - I like to visit Stephs blog because her cards are just my style. They are clean and simple (I hope you don't mind me saying this Steph). On Stephs card the image is always the focal point and always beautifully coloured and placed

The rules of this award are as follows:

1. You must accept it, write a post about it and display it.
2. Pass it to 3 - 5 fab blogs and tell them that they have been given the Love Blog Award.
3. Link back to the person who passed it to you.

The aim of this award is to showcase great but not well known blogs, so don't tag anyone with 3,000 + followers

Here are my choices and I hope these ladies will accept this award with the spirit it was given. If you do not accept awards please accept my apologies I did check you blogs but could not see anything regarding this.

Tellen's Place - Stripes

Here's a lovely vibrant card.  It may seem a little bright but I wanted to cheer myself up and immediately thought of one of Terry's images from Tellen's Place.  I am entering it into Tellen's Place Challenge which is stripes but I only made it to have a play with my MS Publisher.  (I still can't find my printer lead and it is a problem trying to download the pictures as my OH has to do it).  It is easier to download digital work at the moment.  My Mum died many years ago but I think she would have liked this card it has everything she likes bright colours, flowers and a big smile.
