Creative Cowgirls Challenge #8 - Hawaii/The Beach

Aloha everyone, this week were are off to Hawaii or the beach which ever you prefer.  We received some wonderful images to use for the challenge from our sponsor, Michelle Perkett.  My image is called Leilani and I have put here in a beautiful beach scene.  All the elements on this card were designed and cut using my CraftRobo and its software.  I think it looks good even if I say so myself.  The background was chalked and looks really great IRL.  (still haven't found my camera lead so the pictures are rubbish).  All elements cut from paper from the scrap box and Leilani was coloured using Promarkers and Copics.
Now onto the important stuff here is the sponsor information and the prizes.
The Winner will receive
3 gorgeous images of their choice from Michelle Perkett Studio
+
Winners Badge to display with pride

Top 3 will each receive 1 wonderful image of their choice from Michelle Perkett Studio

So cheer yourself up, get out the beach stamps and vibrant coloured pens and enter this great Challenge.

Creative Cowgirls Challenge #7 - Hearts on cards + Blog Hop

Sticky post please scroll down for latest posting

VALENTINE BLOG HOP

For the next 2 weeks we will be having a Blog Hop over at the Creative Cowgirls Challenge.  All you have to do is make a card with hearts (easy peasy) post it on the challenge blog and leave some love on the 8 blogs you will visit on the hop.

If you are doing the hop you should have arrived at my little place from Monika's blog (Kleblatt's Bastelseiten).  If you want to join in the Hop go to the Challenge Blog and start your wonderful journey.

We were lucky enough to receive some great images from DZ Doodles to work with.  I was doubly lucky as the image I got, "bowl of lillies", was one of my Mum's favourite flowers.  As one of the other Posse members used orange for their image I went on the internet and found a picture of a beautiful purple/red lily so I used this as my inspiration.  The card is from my stash, the image was coloured with Copics and highlighted with Sakura clear Stardust pen (you can't really see it on this picture).  I glazed the vase with Anitas 3D clear finish gloss.  Heart punched with a punch from Ideal World (before Create and Craft started).

There are 2 sponsors for this challenge/hop.

The winner will receive a bunch of Valentine ribbons from Crafty Ribbons

+
3 images of their choice from DZ DOODLES
+
Winners Badge to display with pride on their blog

TOP 3 will each receive 1 image of their choice from

An Award

I have been awarded this by two very talented ladies and I accept it with pride.

Angela at Pages by the Sea - Angela has an eclectic mix of crafty stuff on her blog from sewing outfits for her daughter to making beautiful ATCs and all bits inbetween.

Steph at The Crafty Duck's Crafty Doings - I like to visit Stephs blog because her cards are just my style. They are clean and simple (I hope you don't mind me saying this Steph). On Stephs card the image is always the focal point and always beautifully coloured and placed

The rules of this award are as follows:

1. You must accept it, write a post about it and display it.
2. Pass it to 3 - 5 fab blogs and tell them that they have been given the Love Blog Award.
3. Link back to the person who passed it to you.

The aim of this award is to showcase great but not well known blogs, so don't tag anyone with 3,000 + followers

Here are my choices and I hope these ladies will accept this award with the spirit it was given. If you do not accept awards please accept my apologies I did check you blogs but could not see anything regarding this.

Tellen's Place - Stripes

Here's a lovely vibrant card.  It may seem a little bright but I wanted to cheer myself up and immediately thought of one of Terry's images from Tellen's Place.  I am entering it into Tellen's Place Challenge which is stripes but I only made it to have a play with my MS Publisher.  (I still can't find my printer lead and it is a problem trying to download the pictures as my OH has to do it).  It is easier to download digital work at the moment.  My Mum died many years ago but I think she would have liked this card it has everything she likes bright colours, flowers and a big smile.

Dezinaworld Spot Prize Challenge - Nursery Rhyme, Childrens Story e.t.c

This is my entry for Dezinaworlds Spot Prize Challenge.  The image is from Dezinaworld and I have coloured it with my £2.99 pearl paints from The Works.  The moon has been painted then I have gone over it with a yellow Sakura glaze pen.  The stars are from my stash.

I had some trouble with the sea, it's too green.  I tried to make it a bit more bluey but it didn't work very well, the pearl paints don't blend very well but it gave a bit of a shadow which is what I wanted.   As you can guess I went for "The Owl and the Pussy Cat.  The boat is a pea green and the sky is darker IRL.

I was discussing with a friend today how I find it difficult to put lots of "things" on my cards, if I can't see a connection between the embellishments and the theme of my card I can't bring myself to put them on.  I am going to work on this but it may take a while.  You'll know what I mean if you look at the entries to Dezinaworlds Spot Prize, they are little works of art and I don't envy June trying to decide who the winner will be.

Hope everyone is having a good week, I'm off now to see if I can find any reviews for the CraftArtist digital craft/scrapbook CDs Create and Craft have as the Pick of the Week.

Dezinaworld Spot Prize Challenge - Charming

Just a quick post tonight.  Trying to get my entry into the Dezinaworld Spot Prize Challenge. (Made my card for last week got my days wrong and missed the challenge).
The image is a freebie from June's Art Freebies section on Dezinaworld.  The heart is from Poundland, it came in a set of three, a heart, circle and small rectangle.  My OH cut off the lip on the back where the photo goes (he comes in handy sometimes).  The frame was originally a distressed silver but I went over it with the Sakura calligraphy pen and made it gold I also went around the edge of the image with the pen.  The little flowers are from my stash and the stamped flowers used in the border are from somewhere (can't remember, I've had it for years).  The ink in 'wild honey' DI, sponged on and them flower stamped on top.

JUST A REMINDER
